We didnt cave to United. The deal was worked on since Christmas in all probability. £75m, £15m add ons, plus they paid Rooney to join us. Had our pants right down ther.

So yeah, lets "look at Liverpool". They now have a player who has handed in a transfer request, who they will not sell, (yet), and if/when they do, Klopp will have a week to spend the cash.

Dare I say Gabbiadini had that purple patch when he first came in January too. But hasn't scored in the last dozen games. Probs to early to call that one but there were certainly less blues fuming at missing out on him as the season wore on.

I think 85m for lukaku a proven goal scoring machine is undervalued in this market. And Rooney was planning to come to everton in all probability in any case with the pay cut. Pity also that we didn't use lukaku to leverage some swap for a permanent long term striker- rashford or martial for example.

But I have made my point. I won't mention it again unless he bangs a hat trick against us

I think its more a case of wanting another striker Zat, rather than clamouring for either of them.
