Agreed and he probably has but they don't have the big sky money from last season (parachute only) so he would have to pay it back with next seasons money which I suppose won't appeal to him as he will want his slice of it. Speaking to Newcastle fan recently and he said that the club is the only place Ashley takes a weekly wage from now. All his other businesses he is just a shareholder now.

Ashley said he isn't allowed to pay for transfers and funds must come from money generated by the club.
Peter Shmichael confirmed it after he said it.

Newcastle aren't going to spend £20 million on McCarthy. They are well stocked in that position now anyway.
Leicester might if they sell Drinkwater though.

Not sure we can afford to let niasse go given our lack of strikers. So on positive side the fact it looks like he is off to Turkey may mean that we have got a new striker on the way in....lets see in next 48 hours....

He was never gonna get a game under Koeman or any half decent team regardless of our striker situation.

Better off getting shut and rejoice he will no longer be an Everton player, now we really need a striker but who is available that's any good right now ??
