City though, we always do well against them....and 1-1 against 10 men isn't even achieving that.

Terrible result last night all things considered.

You are right here of course, so to some degree it is a good point.

After beating them 4-0 last season and 5-1 over the 2 games, we should expect better under Koeman.

He clearly has the tactical know how, how to set up against them. Good to finally have a manager who knows how to play attacking and defensively instead of toe-curlingly gung-ho naive football which we saw from the previous incumbent.

Behave man. City lost 1 game at home last season, or 5% of their home fixtures if you're that way inclined. Yes, we can feel disappointed we didn't manage to see it out, but a draw is no bad result, especially given that we lost nearly 50% of our away games last season.

Rarely agree with him but I do on this occasion. We just sat in and hoped we could defend for 45 minutes in the second half. We didn't look interested in trying to score a second and killing it. Say what you like about City's home record but 1-0 up against 10 men was a massive opportunity and second half Rooney, Davies, Schneiderlin and Gueye were all guilty of giving the ball away every time we got it. We showed no composure at all. I was gutted last night.

I don't think it was a terrible result. We can be disappointed to come away without the win having led but terrible result? Not for me.

Yes we could've done a bit better but a point away at City is hardly terrible.

It was the element of predictability in their equaliser that was the hardest thing to take. I didn't dare get my hopes up for a win after we scored and the sending-off at any point from then on.

There were 3 points there for the taking and we didn't take them.

The difficulty is in seeing how the squad, and even the club as a whole, can overcome this clearly embedded inferiority complex. I thought so many new personnel would be a big help in that regard but this seems to be a cloud hanging over us playing away against the so-called elite.

No arguments that these clubs, most of them, have superior teams and squads. If they play at full throttle, more often than not, we'll struggle to get a result.

But if we couldn't get over the line with the set of circumstances that last night presented, you wonder when we ever will. Do we have to be 2, 3 goals up heading into injury time to be confident of seeing things out?

The only saving grace was that City didn't score again as I'm convinced they would have if they had an extra 5 minutes. That, once again, is a huge worry.

Not a terrible result by any means, but I feel we won't have a better chance of beating a top 4 side away from home, 1-0 up against 10 men. How often has that occurred to us against a top 4 team in recent years. I would have liked Sigurdsson and Lookman or Mirallas brought on, maybe we would have lost, but for me it shows more attacking threat against a top 4 side, playing with 10 men. Not a bad result at all, we would have well taken it before kick off.
