City though, we always do well against them....and 1-1 against 10 men isn't even achieving that.

Terrible result last night all things considered.

lol;)

Not sure - it seems like the goalposts are being moved a bit.

Last night I thought we did really well, goal was a bit unlucky but broadly speaking did fine (we were decent against them 11 vs 11). But enough money has been spent now that we should be regularly competing against clubs at that level.

Our squad hasn't gelled together yet tbf

Schneiderlin was saying in the paper before the Stoke game to judge them in October once they've had a chance to get some chemistry and bed in the new players. I think that's fair

I never said I was the person that seems what is and isn't racist (I didn't realise there was a racist finder general). My experience is that the majority of people don't use racist terminology, it may be different in your circles, but in mine they don't. Racism is an aspect of 'political correctness' but let's not confuse the two. One has a defined categorisation and the other is very broad in scope.

Feel free to prove my racism - it may be I need to reeducate myself.

"Racist finder general" lol

Given our recent track record against City I was expecting us to beat them at least 0-5 (it would progress from last time we played them) and given that we've spent £130m it should have been more like 0-8 (not even bothered they've spent £100m more because it makes no difference). I also thought it was disgusting the way Koeman allowed youth time on the pitch and especially British Youth. All in all massive steps backwards....

Lol. No. Not peanuts though is it when you outspend all but three other teams.

Net spend for owners, gross spend for a manager receiving the proceeds from the greatest sale of family jewellery in the club's history.

This is record breaking spending.

If he gets more cash on top - and we hope a good striker and defender is now brought in - then a definite CL spot objective has to be set.

What a load of utter drivel.

Net spend has to be used. You said yourself that Lukaku would be irreplacable, yet won't use net spend to account for Koeman having to replace a player you yourself said would be impossible to replace.

You also ignore all the teams above us outspending us for over a decade and us having to play catch up. Add to that you're not even waiting until the end of the transfer window to get a fair reflection of where we stand and it just proves you chat total utter wham.

Teams above us have teams that cost multiple times what ours does yet you ignore that, focus on the fact we've spent more than usual despite factoring in that every team has more money than normal due to the TV money.

Total utter joke of a post and total distortion of the truth.

Throw yourself in a bin.

I think the second half performance as much as the result is terrible. Don't get me wrong surrendering the lead against 10 was very poor. However had we have done that while attacking them, not finish our chances and have a sucker punch that is one thing. Last night we froze though.
At a key moment in the game when any of the other top 6 would have killed City we stood off.

That's the big worry for me. 1-1 can happen. 10 men when playing at home can get a goal back, goodness knows they've got enough lads to score out of nothing. It's part of a pattern now though that goes back 3 managers. We don't deal with being favourites in big games well enough. We freeze.

Against 11 we played better. Essentially when the pressure was off and we had a game plan of stifling them. When the onus was on us we froze.

Look at Burnley at Chelsea last week. They nearly through it away as well but that was nativity not freezing. You could see them go through the gears when they sensed weakness and attack.

It's my biggest concern of last night. The result and two lost points is fine, it's August and it's a game I felt we'd get nothing from. However we will not win trophies, or win at away grounds if we keep losing our heads at key moments.

Except Man City have still spent exponentially more. Despite the money spent, there is a still bit of a gulf in the class of player.

For goodness sake Dave have a word with yourself. They lost 1 home game last season, to Chelsea. They have an abundance of attacking talent, and bar a couple of 5 minute periods we defended pretty well.

The board got to employ Dave as the manager. He discribed getting a point at Citch's home ground 'a terrible result'. He probably expect to win the league with £140m spent. Mind you ain't no net spend this time because we ain't discussing Moshiri.

I've seen you type this a couple of times and I don't get it.
