Barry had left. McCarthy should be sold. Besic is a back-up and cannot be relied on. Davies plays in an advance role not a DM. So yes we need another opton for the holding midfielder role unless you have a better suggestion other than saying Besic is phenomenal.

We need a striker and CB of course.

The bookies just reflect the bets put on mate, as such they are in transfer terms utterly unreliable until something genuine leaks and then the odds will absolutely crash or betting will be suspended if they get tipped off.

So how do you fit Morgan, Gana, Davies and Donderlonger in a side? Oh thats right, its a squad game, you want to pay 20m+ for a back up DM, outstanding. Unless you want to play 3 DMs and 3 CBs, proper Moyes that.

I keep reading that Besic cant be relied upon, yet hes been injury free for 16months.

It's like when you buy a new black shirt, and then you get home and realize you have like 12 other black shirts just like it and you forgot you like black shirts.

Amazingly, we still need players or upgrades in every single position apart from CM.

GK: Koeman says he likes 3 and Robles is off.
FB: Baines is getting old and has no cover. Also, no guarantee Coleman will come back good.
CB: Need one because Funes Mori is broken and Williams & Jags are old.
DM: Need one because Schneiderlin is our only one. Besic, Gana et al are all totally different and are more CMs in the way they get play.
CM: Fine-ish to fine, depending on how Klaassen settles.
AM: Need one because Gylfi Sigurdsson being the only nominal creative passing AM in the squad is Not A Good Thing.
Wide: Need one because Mirallas is fine as a squad player, Lookman is great but very young, and there's no other real pace/flair/passing.
Striker: Need one because duh.

Think everyone is talking about Dendoncker mate and he gives you more than that in fairness. I know what you mean though. We had a back 5 and 3 defensive minded midfielders ahead of them last night. If the full backs played as proper wing backs it possibly may have worked, but neither got past the half way line hardly.

I don't disagree with you but I don't think we will see 7 new players in next week and a bit.

3 players Gana, Schneiderlin and the new player to play in 2 DM/CM roles why not? 55 games plus this season. Yesterday was the time when we need a proper DM when Schneiderlin got a yellow.

Davies and Klaaseen play in the more advance midfield role.

Barkley, Lennon, McCarthy, Robles, Niasse. That's where you get your money from lol.
 
When Chelsea park the bus and defend they look more glamorous doing it, it seemed to me like we was lucky on numerous occasions last night.

If we are going to insist on sitting so deep defensively then we atleast need pace on the counter. Our squad lacks pace and is set up for a high press not goalline defending.

Where are the 12 black shirts? Barry is gone. Unless you think both McCarthy and Besic are reliable enough to back-up Gana and Schneiderlin.
