The dilemma for Costa is, you would think he's not going to play for Chelsea again, he can't sign for Madrid, so at 28 is he going to be prepared to not play any footy for 6 months.

Thinking about it, you would imagine Chelsea would want him playing first team footy somewhere to keep his stock high.

Costa wants to play for Athletico. Athletico want him to play for them. He isn't coming here in a month of Sunday's.
I cannot see the point of signing him until Xmas , just to find ourselves scrabbling round for another striker halfway through the season.
On top of which he's a bit of a pathetic character off the pitch.
