Robles is on a decent run of form for sure. He's pulled off some terrific saves recently. But let's not fool ourselves here, he's never a number one keeper. He rarely commands the six yard box and even more rarely comes for crosses.

Pleased to see the rumours this morning that we are still scoping new keepers for next season.

Id go for Pickford over Casper.

I would, but going for either of them over Joel would be madness, even Koeman himself must now realise he made a bad mistake not fully trusting Joel at the start of the season, is he going to make the same mistake twice ?

Joel has contributed to our run of form as much or even more then Lukaku, Barkley or Davies.

He has been outstanding. He is our No 1.

If we got rid of Funes Mori and bought a new pacy centreback, we wouldn't be having this conversation over keepers.

Pickford is in the spotlight because the amount of shots he has faced plus he is English. Joel has faced less shots but his stats read for themselves.

Currently he is one of the top 5 keepers in the Prem.

Forget the keeper, buy a world class centreback.

Robles is no better than pantillimon, gomez, guzan, or any other second choice goalkeeper.

We need a much better goalkeeper at the club. No question on that, the same mind set saying robles is good enough is the same mind set that had Cleverley at the club , or kone was a decent option, or there is nothing wrong with Barry anymore.

You want to be successful we need better players, starting with the goalkeeper. He pales in comparison to lloris, de gea, Czech, Hart, courtois to name a few. That is the level we need to aim for, not Joel robles because he is the best we have currently got. That frame of mind is why we are having to bin most of the squad off.

If we really do have the cash what about a bid for Mezit Ozil? Having a hard time at Arsenal, but a class player who may help Rom want to stay, a statement signing to attract others and a suitable replacement for Pienaar.

How much would he cost?
Does he fit into Ronald's work ethic?

Great player for the assist stats but rubbish at the defensive side of the game. Doesn't do enough when not in possession for koeman.

Cech and Hart have been poor the past two seasons and both of them now make routine errors that cost there teams mate.

Degea was played when young through erratic displays, which given your mentality would have seen United get rid of him for a proven keeper.

Similarly coutouis last season was poor and that mind set would have seen Chelsea get rid.

Stek played well at the start of the season, he won us games.

Robles has done well since he's come in and he's rightly kept his place.

I honestly think we might just have to give Joel the job full time at this point, just so people can get it out of their systems, which means no keeper signed in the Summer

No matter who we get in, the Joel fan base will be waiting to find any reason to knock them. Give it Joel and he will either deliver as a #1, which would be great, or he won't and we can then put this to bed once and for all and get a new keeper in

Seems a bit much to me

Celtic would bite any clubs hands off for that though

I reckon he'll end up going for a about 20-22m Mikey with about 8m worth of add ons. I'd certainly be happy for us to lob 20m in Celtics direction..

If Lukaku did leave, I wouldn't be too gutted to see Dembele come in as a replacement

For me though, in a world where Rom stays, the Celtic player I'd poach would be Tierney
