I agree with all that 100%! I think Koeman was being polite when he said earlier on in the season that he doesn't want Barkley deep in CM taking too many touches and that he wants him further forward trying to make things happen. He doesn't trust him in there cos he does dally on the ball a lot and make mistakes. It's why he's been shifted wide right and out of the way. He actually got a chance in there vs Chelsea and failed miserably!

And I agree, I think Koeman wouldn't give a monkeys IF the pair of them ended up going. It's funny cos after the game last night he said he wasn't happy with the pair of them and their work rate, aggression and then named all the rest he was happy with! I think he knows that if he gets the right players in with the right blend and balance, we will function much better in the final third and be a better team for it.

Bring in Brad Guzan as competition for Robles, Shane Long regardless of if Rom goes or not, a top wide player like Damari Gray, and then pad out the squad with cheapo's like Micah Richards etc. Job done.

Because in theory tall keeper can deal with high ball more comfortably. And not every tall keeper is Stek.
