What as he done at Chelsea to make you think he could replace Rom as our 30goals a season striker?

About as much as Rom had done at Chelsea before we signed him and he didn't turn out bad.

Dismissing a player as not being good enough just because he hasn't been given a proper chance at another team doesn't mean he's not necessarily a good player.

Batshuayi has a very good record from his time in Belgium and France, not much worse than Rom's from when he was with Anderlecht.

I reckon he'd be a great adition to our squad, wether we keep Lukaku or not, at the right price.

I'm not dismissing him as good enough, I'm saying he hasn't shown he can hack it in the Premierleague as a replacement for a 30 goals a game striker.
Rom got into double figures for West Brom as a 19 year old, Batshuayi is 23 and as mainly looked out of his depth surrounded by better players than we have at Chelsea, players usually look/play better when surrounded by better players.
Yes you could argue he hasn't settled into their first team but there's been little to show he deserves to be in it when he gets his chances.
He would more than liekly turn out to be an expensive dud.

Can you honestly tell me you've sat down and consciously watched a 90 minute Chelsea game in which he's played to be able to form any sort of opinion on the player?

I've seen him a few times and my evaluation of him seems to be pretty much the same as the Chelsea and Belgian septups.
Not kicked on enough from his early greatness, would struggle to get in either side (and does) if it wasn't for injuries.

Radio city in the car mentioned something along the lines of Koeman is interested in signing Pickford from Sunderland as a first choice goal keeper. I didn't hear all the details as the radio was on low but is this real news?

We're not going to be able to sign a proven 20+ a season striker in the Premier League as we're not a mega rich team, so we're going to have to take an educated gamble.

If you add up the minutes Batshuayi has played for Chelsea he's only actually played just over 5.5 matches and scored 7 goals. Yes, most were in the cup, but he's actually scored 7 goals in 5\6 games. When he's been given such limited chances it'd be understandable if he struggled to find form when he was given a chance, but he's actually done well considering and his past record is great.

What are you supposed to do in 93 minutes of Premier League football to prove you've kicked on?

It hardly proves you're a bad player not being able to displace Costa or Lukaku.

We are fairly solid in most areas but more importantly we're hard to beat. Let's see what this group can do from now til the end of season.
I think we could do with a 'Zlatan' type signing, a big character with experience at the top level, someone that inspires the rest of the players. And preferably a striker. Maybe Rooney is the one we need. Hopefully if he does come in he's not just going through the motions and running down the clock, there's not many better than a fired-up Wayne Rooney with something to prove. He can still change a game.
