The whole point of recruitment for me is to bring in players who will improve our starting 11 and push our seasons before starting 11 to the bench. Or young players for the future of course.

Why sign players unless theyre prospects or starters...wont improve otherwise.

Personally I’d rather get the one who puts the ball in the net. Being serious Wilson isn’t good enough imo and especially for the price Bournemouth would want. And munier I think wouldn’t want to come to us. Been linked to Arsenal and Utd. And PSG would want big money.

Buying them 2 we would be going back to the Walsh days, over paying for players with 3/4yrs and best, Wilson also has had bad injuries, which would be a big risk.

Well, quite but no one is denying that. The point you made was you didn't like that if we brought neres in it would force Bernard onto the bench.

The team will not suffer by having more quality in it. According to alot of media reports a left footed winger is a priority this window but that doesn't mean the rest of the holes in the squad will be ignored.
 
Any rumoured outs? Thought we’d be quite decisive in clearing the decks. We’ve got a lot of young players we really should be moving on if they’re not going to be playing first team next season.

Garbutt Pennington Galloway Baningime Connely Dowell Williams Foulds Feeney Gibson Hornby Bowler Robinson. We need to be either giving them an opportunity with the squad or selling them.

Surprised this hasn’t been highlighted more when people ask how we will fit the 3 Brazilians in. He’s a young kid coming to the hardest league in the world. I’d be amazed if he was in our starting X1 straight away, and then it’s simply up to him to work his way up to the level.

Surely holiday coming to an end now we start moving these players on.

Back in training in two weeks and at the moment there’s a strange selection turning up

He’s been scoring in the latter stages of the CL. Think he’d be ok in the prem.
