Im not so sure on that mate.

Last season we had 13.

Since then we have sold/released Browning, Galloway, Hewelt and Jags, which brings us down to 9, we are potentially looking to sell McCarthy, which would bring us to 8, then if we are looking to get rid of Walcott and Morgan as well, which we probably arent, that would take us down to 6, with 1 of those being Harry Charsley.

Without checking we probably have some other "yoots" we could name to bulk up the HG and its not currently a problem, but its something we might have to consider, especially if we look at moving Baines on next season.

We only need 8 in the 25 don't we?

Bizarre to even have to say this, but this buying model you’re all on about just doesn’t exist. It’s a figment of your imaginations. We have never ever claimed that we’d only be buying players under 21, and our signings under brands haven’t all been with a long term view. 2 players on loan with no option to buy and lossl on board at 30 should be enough to tell you that brands isn’t all about signing players who will be boss in 5 years and quadruple in value, no matter how much some of you wannabe scouts want him to be. The club has to balance short term benefits with long term growth, if there are players out there who they believe will help us get where we want to be then they should - and will - sign them.

That include the returning Holgate?

Yes.

Can you please add some sort of homegrown indicator and tally to the squad analysis thread.

Ive spoken about it in the past in my thread, but seems as tho we had 13 last season I never really paid it no nevermind, but its something we might have to consider if there are certain outs.

I'd quite happily bring in Delph. As long as we can get rid of Schneiderlin, McCarthy, Tosun, Walcott, Besic, Bolasie, Cuco, Garbutt, Niasse, Connolly, Pennington, Stekelenburg, Tarashaj and Mirallas.

Not too much to trim.
If this Marcel chap was up to much he would quite simply flog all those chumps, generate 40 or so mil and just buy some boss Brazilian winger (preferably named Everton) but hey, he's the man in charge here not me

Just seems like a sideways move to me.
Mccarthy from Martinez’s first season and 16/17 Schneiderlin are well better than any version of Delph, but I think Delph would give us better performances over the next 2/3 years than either

Biggest problem (apart from him taking a big hit in wages) is I would imagine he would want to be a starter as well, he had no choice, or probably didn't mind being a squad player at City, I can't see him wanting to be that at the type of club who may come in for him, especially at his age as well.
I suppose, although maybe with an incentive based contract he'd earn that starting position, especially if the likes of Gana and Schneiderlin leave

He won’t , the crowd will sus him out then turn on him - another bang average no mark. How anyone is trying to rationalize this out is beyond me.

It makes sense to me. Brands and Silva have both said our aim next season is to win a domestic cup. Going far in both competitions would stretch the squad and having someone with the quality Delph has will help.

I’d rather have him turning out in the second round league cup at Southampton than the ghost of Morgan’s past.

If we sell Gueye, and replace him with Delph, then nothing has changed at Everton and we remain operating in a small time manner. However, I’d really like to see him operate in a midfield three alongside Gueye and Gomes. I think our midfield would much improve in this format with such personnel.

He’d also be a much better back up than Baines, who is finished and will get absolutely rinsed should we be unfortunate enough to call upon him next season.

All the Gana rumours seem to have vanished. Hopefully a good thing.
