In the ukranian league playing in the champions league and being a full brazil international playing in world cups pal

you're not winning any debate here telling us barnes is a better player than bernard

I'm a big fan of Bernard by the way, but he got his first Brazil cap in 2012, and his last in 2014 (14 caps in total) and hasn't had a cap in the last 5 years, so it's hard to lump that in as to how good he is.

Edit: sorry mods, will stick to the Bernard thread.

McCarthy hasn't completed a professional game of football since December 2016, a time when he already had a woeful injury record. He's now in the last year of his contract. I don't see anyone bidding anywhere near 8 million for him, and they would be mental to do so.

I think it's more likely that he will leave this summer by being loaned out to a club that is willing to see if he can stay fit for 15 minutes. A club like Celtic, or some seriously desperate English club.

Zaha would be brilliant but we won't be paying 80 million for him, and neither will any other club. He will either stay at Palace or leave for 65-70 million, maximum. I think he'd be great at Everton, and a damn sight better than the likes of Lookman and Vlasic, who we have fortunately manage to offload.

That didn't go according to the script

So you keep saying

I've been relatively relaxed however the last few days has started to worry me that at this stage last season we were on the verge of starting our business despite Brands and Silva only being new to the job.

We are at that stage now with targets supposedly lined up at the seasons close yet there is zero indication of any deals being at anywhere near an advanced stage and gaping areas in our side that need strengthening.

Im not quite at panic stations yet but come the end of the week if there is still no movement I'll start to question whats going on at that office.
