On point 2: Again, I'm not insinuating we give players away. I'm stating that the club appears to be too firm on their valuations of these players, otherwise there would have been some movement. . We have our valuation, they have theirs, let's get a deal done and move on. Instead we're holding firm and hanging on to players who will continue to be paid the same high wages for the remainder of their contracts and could eventually leave for free. Businesses frequently cut their losses on assets if it enables them to move forward. That boils down to ambition.
On point 1: How can you assure me that Brands knows best? I'm not saying the bloke is incapable, nor am I professing him to be best in class. There is no evidence to support either argument. I'm just keeping an open mind before proclaiming any saviours. You mention Walsh, he came here with a great reputation too. Until Brands is selling players above their market value and identifying & signing players below their market value, he's still got lot's to prove here.
