It baffles me that we even need to post this. It should be patently clear to everyone that this is what’s required (is even go so far as to say 1 in 2 out once the striker and cb is sorted).

People easily forget/ignore the mess we’ve been left in from the Walsh tenancy.

It is clear to all us on the forum but is it clear to our management, certainly room for doubts on that score.

Spending 22 mil on a player THEN selling someone for 14 mil is NOT sell to buy.

Come one mate, getting a bit weird now fabricating reasons to moan.

It's not a moan. Nor is it a fabrication. It's essentially just a difference of opinion on the term 'sell to buy'. No need to be pedantic.

Sell to buy doesn't literally mean you have to sell 1st in order to buy. Clubs have access to credit and overdrafts like everyone else.

It means you can buy when you want if the opportunity presents itself, but you do have to balance the books by a certain time. Sell to buy means your outgoings and incomings need to be about the same.

If a deal for a target can be done now, but they know that a deal for one of our players (at a similar value) is forthcoming. It makes no sense for the club to wait on signing that target (and risk other clubs coming in / the selling club backing out / the player getting cold feet) if they are reasonably confident the outgoing will happen.
