Every transfer is risky but Zaha has atleast shown he's a very good player at this level.

To be fair, there would be a lot of questions asked about spending that much on either of them.

I dont get fans who say "why pay £70 million for Zaha when we need a striker"

But bidding that for Zaha doesnt mean we still cant sign a striker ie. Kean for £35-40 million.

Who cares about the fee aslong as the player improves us I dont care about what we pay.

Im more worried when we spend money regardless of the fee on players who DONT improve us ie. Bolasie, Tosun, Walcott etc.

Tosun had no PL experience, and Walcott played the same for us as was for Arsenal when he left - i.e. not very effectively. As for Bolasie, he got injured so it's hard to tell. Zaha has has PL experience and is playing out of his skin. That makes a big difference. It just remains to be seen if his heart's in it if and when he arrives.
