I would have liked us to have offered saints a swap deal + cash for Lemina.

Say Schnerderlin + £5 million.

They get a direct replacement and we get a good option in the midfield.

Allows us to punt Davies on loan and still have 4 good CM's in the squad.
 
I may have imagined this but I remember Silva saying he wants two players for every outfield position. Delph, Gomes, Gbamin, Schneiderlin, Davies and Sigurdsson cover those 3 midfield positions until January.
Schneiderlin gets shifted out on loan in the January window and we bring in the kid Reinier to act as cover for Sigurdsson ideally

We cant get rid of the ones we have. We have too many average midfielders as it is.
