It's not the upfront fees that are the issues, I don't think. From what Brands has been saying I think shifting the fringe players, some of whom (Sandro, Bolasie, Schneiderlin etc..) are on huge wages, will have a bigger impact on our ability to acquire players and manage our wage bill rather than to specifically boost our trabsfer kitty (although I'm sure it won't hurt). Our wages to turnover ratio is a bit Peter Risdale Leeds United for my liking.

Totally agree. Im just musing on what the transfer fee pot may be pre sales and pending lowered wages through outgoings.

E.g if we offloaded a player at breakeven book value on £100k a week then potentially we could spend X amount in fees with £100k weekly salary.

To be completely honest isn't the worst choice ever but I do think his ball control is below average and could cause some huge problems in the league especially with the constant high pressure teams are using in the top half.

My favorite though out of the ones I listed is Sander Berge. He's an absolute unit (6'4") and boasts a 88% pass completion, 58 passes/90 (better than gana and gomes, tied with schniederlin), ~65% open play duels one, ~65% aerial duel wins (73% won in Europa), 47 successful tackles, 24 interceptions, and 79% tackles won.

I do agree though that Rebic would probably be better than Haller in the league and in our fluid front 3 style that Silva likes.

I think his ball control is fine and have seen him walzing past players, he looks ungainly at times but so do a fair few top players.

If Berge and Zakaria are available at €17mil each then to be quite honest, adding say €25mil for Sangare then for approaching €60mil / £50mil we would fill our midfield.

Losing Gana for £30mil and adding those three players we'd be spending £20mil + Gomes to have 4 players for the two centre midfield positions.

Thats exciting.

Look at that, Penny Blue and I agreeing on some things.

Since I haven't eaten the cost to get Wyscout, I honestly have not seen him play much, which is frustrating. He seems to have a good first touch and some obvious distribution ability, but is he athletic enough or positionally aware enough to play in CM in the PL? Maybe not now, but in the future? How does he compare with Dendoncker who I think is hopelessly slow and while he has SOME decent ball skills, is not someone you'd build a central midfield around. He's AT BEST a medicore PL player and don't see him getting much better.
Its the Pennsylvania blood. It has a low boiling point.

Berge though is very fast and agile for a big guy. Shows at times if he needs to he can move his body almost to the same level as Ibra. Dendonker definitely a step or 3 below Berge and has a much lower potential ceiling.

He's an attacking mid, isn't he?

Fun team to watch, actually. We were linked to Kannemann at one point, which was amusing and all. If we need a left wing, Everton would be lovely playing for Everton. Hahahaha.
I thought he seemed more like a defensive mid but could be wrong. He does love a good dribble.

It would be exciting, but that's a bit crazy, Zat. I mean, it's completely something you would post of course.

I still wouldn't dump Gana for any of those players, though, and I would NO WAY sell Gana for 30M. No chance.

Sangare for 25M, hecks yes. Keeping Gomes, eh, maybe.

Eastern side is low. Western is a little higher.

Yeah, he looks fast, but I really wanted to see him play one of his EL games to see if he still looks fast against better competition. He HAS to create more than Gomes with the ball.

Guess you know which side I'm from. lol

But yeah don't think there's an every touch video done on him yet

I like how he barges people off the ball, Gana's great at breaking up play in the middle of the park but I do like a big unit skittling people. I'm in! Get him signed Marcel.
