It would be exciting, but that's a bit crazy, Zat. I mean, it's completely something you would post of course.

I still wouldn't dump Gana for any of those players, though, and I would NO WAY sell Gana for 30M. No chance.

Sangare for 25M, hecks yes. Keeping Gomes, eh, maybe.

I think Gana will be off this summer and, as @Stephenlloyd says there could be some surprise sales.

Netting £25-30mil for Gana and replacing with Sangare and one other similar profile player would be ideal.

Id really like to see a focus on building strong athletic depth in the centre.

I also think that Gana will be off owed prosmise if you will however I’d be fighting tooth and nail to try and keep him because even if he stays we will still need to secure Gomes and another CM probably looking in the region of £45-60 mil alone there.

I agree with much of his Everton critique, but I don't agree with many of his targets.

Pol Liora is not the answer IMO at right back. Amazing crosser of the ball. But he doesn't have the work rate or athleticism to be anything other than remotely average in the PL I don't think. Perfect for Italy, might be good in maybe Spain, not good enough in the PL IMO. I do like William, not sure if he's quite good enough, either, but I like him.

Lascelles? Maybe. We do need someone to defend in space better, but not sure about his ball playing skills and I'd think he'd be expensive. Ndicka is a really interesting player, though.

I also think Lobotka isn't particularly good. He's been out of the lineup for a reason with Vigo. Honestly don't even think he's THAT good with the ball.

Its a total myth the whole "transfer kitty", clubs will spend what they can afford to spend, theres never any set amount of money set aside, its all about whats feasible at the time. Lots of factors at play :

How much "spare cash" the club has
How much we can reclaim from sales
How much we can move from the wages column
Can we then invest some saved wages into purchasing
How much the club has available in credit

1 things for sure, Moshiri has never balked at a transfer fee, he has never refused to sanction a player purchase, we have as much as we need, of that im certain, NO, that doesnt mean we can buy Neymar and Mbappe, but I suspect that if Brands REALLY wants a baller and theres not much cash floating around, that the player will be bought.

Of course from an accounting POV we still need to stop paying the wages of 41 first team players, so there will still need to be a MASSIVE firesale and as we saw from Brands comments regards Lozano, hes not somebody that will waste money for the sake of it.

Basically the money is there for the right type of players, as long as we can balance the books to an acceptable level.
Pretty much this I think.

The big limiter will be wages. Offload enough of these, either by sales or loans, then we're in business. I really don't think physical cash is our problem.

Boubakary Soumare (lille) linked

Onyekuru linked to dortmund €25mil

surely uou must get bored of reading (and probably worrying ) about all our players getting linked to jarg clubs all the time.

what Brands has actually shown whilst here is that no-one really knows whats happening behind the scenes, just the way it should be

give it up will yer!

Marco Silva confident Everton owner Farhad Moshiri will bankroll the next stage of the club's rebuild
  • Marco Silva doesn't think Everton have to rely on gaining funds from a clear out
  • The Toffees have a huge squad that needs to trimmed this coming summer
  • The likes of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun could be sold at the right price
