I think there's a reason he's not playing a lot this year, honestly. Lille were pretty bad last year and he played a TON. They likely only kept him because he was such an expensive transfer for them and would probably still want to recoup the money. He's still only 22, but not sure he's the answer.

Yes its a good point mate.

I think for me, im lookimg at players that could be a bargain. So high rated or previously high rated players that maybe need a move or down on luck.,

This could be a way to get great value out of the market. We have over-payed for so many players.

Agree with the theory, but a kid that came over for 15M isn't going to be value. Might not even get a permit.

The permit issue makes it tough. You can't really get some of these under valued gems into the club.

You may be right mate.

Alhough they almost sold him for around what they paid, to Roma. So £15 million would be a snip.

Not a very good sign

Well, interesting.

Of the serious money spent by Koeman, he bought Gueye, Sig, Keane, Pickford for about £110m. Too much, sure, and very badly coached by him. But now firmly established first team players and in the main have had good seasons. If you sold all four this summer, amazingly you'd probably make an accumulative profit.

If you look at Moyes full list of Everton transfers, for example, you'll be surprised at the percentage of them that were hopeless garbage, and he was seen as frugal and shrewd.

Allardyce, for example, spent about £50m total on Walcott and Tosun, both of whom have been underwhelming. We won't get 50% of the money back
