So Bernard has 7 games to start the season to equal that. Is Steven Pienaar the level we want Everton to max out at?Pienaar scored 2 in his first 40 games for us.

He was very good. I really do think we can do better and should be aiming to do better.Steven Pienaar was a brilliant player and we do not have many brilliant players right now, so yes I think we should aim for more of them first and foremost.
Hit us with a jarg rumour eggs and save this place from destruction!

Those numbers actually suggest that Fraser did not create as many chances from open play as Bernard did. He obviously can't dribble and doesn't have the tricks that Bernard has. But he's probably a better passer and does take care of the ball. So it's not CRAZY to suggest that Fraser hasn't been as productive as Bernard and so you won't see my laughing at the suggestion. When you account for the fact that a lot of his chances created are low quality it looks worse. Second that ignores that all of those players bar Fraser scored goals too and Fraser was a far better creator. Third I'm not really suggesting we should sign any of those just that they arent that much better or worse so we need to do better if we want to move up.
I think other places need improving before we start wanting to upgrade Bernard, He fits our team and him and Digne have struck up a nice partnership which can harm teams when they're BALLINHe was very good. I really do think we can do better and should be aiming to do better.
...erm, just watching Chris Brunt in the play-offs, sure I heard us linked.
The first time he bought a Ben Sherman and scurried off to Brighton on his Vespa. When did @Eggs become a mod?
I'm not sure exactly what you're looking at but what I see has Fraser way better than Bernard this year in almost every stat. And I'm in no way saying sell Bernard. But should we be considering Lookman, Onyekuru and signing someone if there is an option available for his spot next year? I'd say absolutely yes. Those numbers actually suggest that Fraser did not create as many chances from open play as Bernard did. That being said, lets see what Bernard does with some better players around him and regular playing time next year with a full summer to rest. The player I saw at Shaktar was more dangerous with the ball in and around the box.
For me if we assume Gomes and Zouma return it's Striker, RB and then creative player followed by defensive depth and maybe a second GK. Not the highest priority but if we make a similar number of signings as last summer it should be addressed.I think other places need improving before we start wanting to upgrade Bernard, He fits our team and him and Digne have struck up a nice partnership which can harm teams when they're BALLIN
