Ive started to come round to @Zatara’s way of thinking. £30m for Gana. £20m odd to Rabiot and his agent, the rest to help cover the difference in his wages. Instant upgrade.

I just don’t know what impact this sort of deal would have with the rest of the squad and with our transfers and the transfer market in general.

If we could get Rabiot for a £40-45mil package over his contract (as i suggested) then its an instant upgrade for a player 6 years younger...

Theres no chance we would ever sign a player of Ganas age for the fee / wages so why would we keep him?

There is also Mina, I think he needs a bit of adjusting but he could turn out good for us.

That's kinda my point too, why bring in all 3? Especially when Gana, as it stands, is still here, not to mention Davies, Schneiderlin, Beningame and McCarthy. Just seems odd that we're bringing 3 MFs (2 gaurenteed starters) in unless Gana and two of the above leave
