When Tyrone Mings is going for 20 million, and Maguire is going for 85 million, then you are in a market where the genuine value of someone like Zaha is about 65 million. We wouldn't be overpaying in the slightest imo.

We got 50 million for John Stones several years ago. We paid 30 million for Lukaku several years ago. We've also spunked away a combined 60 million on absolute dross like Tosun, Klaassen and Bolasie during that time.

65 million for a player like Zaha is a fair price in this day and age.

I would agree, but I think Silva has thrown his toys out the pram and Mosh honestly doesnt really care about money.

Personally, I have always thought both of these were paper talk.

Not like I haven't been very wrong before, but neither seem to "fit." At least, maybe Zaha fits if the money is there because it wasn't spent on others and he is deemed the best fit, but he seems an unlikely target nevertheless.

I think that part is probably true, but I am not sure Zaha is the best option for EFC; although at this point who is left? I guess we'll wait and see.

We got £80m for Lukaku 2 years ago and will collect another £5m when he next sells. For me, Zaha is the much better player now, although I wouldn't have dreamt I'd ever be saying that 2 years ago.
