The quality of the league doesn't come into it. If his ACLs were totally knackered, he wouldn't manage 55 games in a season. He also played lots of games in Europe.

So it doesn't mean that he will likely break down again. The issue will be if he has lost any pace/agility, which I can't answer as I have never seen him play.

Also, Everton should be smart and leverage his injury history to reduce the price.

The extra pace and intensity of the Prem would clearly make a difference to someone who'd suffered two serious knee injuries.

I once picked somebody up from Manchester Airport, whilst waiting in ‘Arrivals’, Bill Tarmey (Coronation Street’s third greatest ‘Bill’ after Roache & Kenwright) came through with his cases. Bizarrely, he was wearing specs with a bit of tape holding them together, just like his character Jack Duckworth! Never been able to convince anyone this is true.

Because gnonto is better than all of those players you listed. His ceiling is much much higher and he’s only 19 the best is yet to come. Dembele is a free agent and Elanga is garbage. Ultimately if we purchased mediocre signings like Elanga and Piroe we will be in the relegation battle this season.

Gnonto will be phenomenal in 2-3 years!!
