Again IF Myers is right, it would have to be some unknown pick-up (involves scouting - not Everton's style) or a free transfer you would think. So, no club on the other side to try and get it in the press and drive a bidding war.Of course! Completely forgot about that. He has been mentioned as an Everton target today though
They said weeks ago that that was unlikely.DCL not in the squad at wigan... He's got to be fit before the start of the season surely

Unlikely fit for the Fulham game ?They said weeks ago that that was unlikely.
I'd be surprised if we saw him before September. Then amazed if we saw him at all in October and NovemberDCL not in the squad at wigan... He's got to be fit before the start of the season surely
The thing I read, apologies, can't remember what it was, said that DCL is unlikely to resume full contact training until the week before the Fulham game and that is if all goes to plan.Unlikely fit for the Fulham game ?
Mad isn't it. No chance he plays in any of our 'easy' opening fixtures. Then he'll come in and be injured within two games and be out until Christmas.DCL not in the squad at wigan... He's got to be fit before the start of the season surely

So, even the best case scenario would mean he wouldn't be match fit.
Cant be that expensive if French clubs in for him. I'd like him here

I did say I can't remember in my original post (may have been the Athletic, but don't quote me). It was in something where they were talking recovery time frames and, if you did the maths, it would mean a return to full training the week before the season starts.I haven’t seen that anywhere, what was your source for this?
