Tielsmans free
Torres 33m + addons
Diaby 43m + addons

So 76m + addons for 3 internationals at good ages with excellent reputations and u call that an insane amount of money. How much do you think PL players of their calibre should cost?
And the rest of your squad ?

Can we turn our noses up at the likes of a Che Adams. I genuinely don’t know what the lad is like as a player but we simply cannot go into the season as Maupay as the No 9 . He was wrong from the off and doesn’t and never will be suited to our style currently.
Adams will be wrong from the off, because he is atrocious. If we keep signing crap footballers, we'll always be a crap football team. Simple.

Replacing crap with crap has been the Moshiri cycle. We need to break it now. Adams is rubbish.

Knew this would happen, if we dont sign anybody in a week people will be DEMANDING we sign him.

Smells a lot like Maupay to me.
I think che adams is more compatible with the way we play over maupay but as a primary striker I would be super distraught if we ended up with him.

Just listened to the bobble podcast depressing. Sounds like we are starting the season with Maupay as Dom unlikely to be fit and unlikely to do much until August comes around. This club I tell you. Absolutely failing organisation. Kenwright and Moshiri are the common theme in the failing recruitment
Or maybe we could play danjuma instead of maupay

Just a silly idea

I'll risk getting torn apart and say I actually quite like Che Adams, I think he's got a good bit more about him than Maupay and also is much more suitable to us, and I think he's being a bit unfairly pilloried on here. He's not the worst we could do and would do better than people think. I suspect we might even do better than someone like Iheanacho.

I still hope we don't sign him though, because I think we could do better with deals from abroad where you can do more with instalments, and if we could get ourselves in the frame for someone like Dia or Brobbey or Beto or Guirassy on relatively good up front terms that's way preferable.

Although maupay had a dismal season I think his past record of scoring goals will make it feasible to sell him on without a major loss in value along as he's not saddled with exorbitant wages like all our other duds

When Maupay was at Brentford I really wanted Villa to sign him, he was excellent in the Championship, I was disappointed when we ended up with Watkins and Brighton got Maupay. I watched him a lot in the Championship and yes I know it is a lower level but he was one of the best players in the Championship and looked like he would have a really bright future. There is a much better player there than what u are seeing, hopefully Dyche can get him back to his best
I agree with you on a lot but not Neil Maupay.

He's slow, he can't hold up a football, his finishing is horrific, he is short in height for a professional footballer and his performances have been so bad (1 goal in 29 competitive appearances) that it will be a struggle for Everton to unload him.

His link up play with players around him is ok but I would expect any semi competent amateur footballer to possess the same.

I knew he would be utter gash when he was signed yet he has somehow been even worse than I had feared.

He’s so bad
