Not even comparable though, Danny welbeck is infinity times better than that big lanky dope.

Weghorst played half a season almost every week for united and still SOMEHOW managed to score 1 goal in that time
Weghorst's record speaks for itself he's obviously a lot better than people think he is you don't score 1 in 2 for as long as he has if you're useless and you don't get that many caps for a top 10 fifa ranked team either people are just scared that them twitter accounts run by kids and posh boys who have never kicked a football will laugh at Everton for signing Weghorst.

2 in 42 prem games mate and you also have to factor in that he was playing for Utd for over half of those games.

And that's the only stat to consider here imo.

I'd say Welbeck is average to be fair, not good but not bad.

But if he's average and he ousted Maupay, what does that say about Maupay?
Maupay's crap i never said he's not but he's probably not as bad as he's looked here its just one of them isn't it where it doesn't work out for someone.

Similar to Danjuma isn't it and Weghorst also has a better record everywhere else including their country but nobody laughs at Danjuma because he's not 6 6.

He cost £15m, you can’t tell me there weren’t better players at that price anywhere in the world. Don’t care what the “down payment” was.
Never mind the 15m, even if the down payment was 4m there were better players we could’ve bought outright for just that.

It sounds to me like Everton don't have the money to make Leeds an offer they can't refuse and Gnonto would like to go somewhere better if he had the choice but the closer it gets to the deadline the more likely it becomes that the player and his club will take what's on offer and he'll come here but obviously that might mean someone else does come in for him in the meantime thats just how the cookie crumbles when you have no money and are fighting relegation every year.
Don't know about you mate but I got out of breath just reading that.

Somebody here got it right the other day saying we should have deals lined up. Should not havr just went all in for toure shoulr have several deals for a forward on the go. Have three names that have been said in the media dia, Iheanacho, brobbey. Unless is more they need to get this done

Feel sorry for Richie. He hasn’t really had chance. Even spurs fans say he hasn’t been given a chance. But anyway he isn’t our player no more so end of that.

I agree with your points players do suit certain systems. Players you mentioned do suit what we are looking to do. The only difference is the level of quality. We need are strikers and wide players to get at least 10 goals, to stay clear of the drop.

We've survived and did okay off 1 player getting 10 goals with 2 or 3 chipping in with 4 to 8.

Every club needs players who get 10 goals a season. Last season only City, Newcastle, Leicester, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs had more than 1 player scoring 10+ goals.

It's probably not about regularity of scoring goals, it's more about spreading the burden across the team. If we get players in that help others notch up an extra 2 to 3 goals as well as them chipping in... we'll be okay.

Goals arent the be all and end all. Leicester and Leeds were 11th and 12th for goals scored and were relegated. Wolves scored less than us and survived.

But it's an improvement we need to make.
