Somebody here got it right the other day saying we should have deals lined up. Should not havr just went all in for toure shoulr have several deals for a forward on the go. Have three names that have been said in the media dia, Iheanacho, brobbey. Unless is more they need to get this done

He's had absolutely ages to identify a number of striker targets, he needs to get just one of them through the door in time and ready for Fulham. That really isn't too much to ask.

For sure we're paying on the drip, but that's what the last 2 months have been for, to find out who's willing to take the terms. Almeria were, he's chosen Atlanta. No worries, straight onto the next one then. No excuses.

They helped balance the books for last season.

Just look at the last set of accounts. 90% of our turnover went on wages , FFP is limiting what we can spend plus we are also building a new stadium which has rising costs.
so who will balance the books for this season

pickford and onana?

we going to a brand new stadium and can only play the under 12's

Agree just hope is a similar profile not another window we end with a maupay not fit for the system we want to play

I don't hate the idea of going for Tete, especially as we can likely get a good deal out of Shaktar. What's great about him is he's an actual right sided player - not having to play naturally left sided players on the right will be a big boost!
Having said that, Dia should be priority no.1 - especially if we can ship out Maupay at the same time

Richarlison was playing out wide more often than not, Maupay was set up with chance after chance as the main striker at Brighton and Rich still outscored him.

He also lost his place to Danny Welbeck, I mean if that doesn't tell you everything you need to know.

Just go and look at the Xg mate, Maupay's is terrible.

DCL not scoring a goal but being integral to the Brighton 5-1 shows that while goal stats are obviously useful, they are not the whole picture.

Tbh if it’s true we were trying to get Toure with 4 or 5m max up front the decision on plan B will be more about who else will accept that sort of deal rather than who we actually want.

Dia seems the most likely given the club involved and the fact they want Maupay. Offer them ten up front but sell them Maupay for 6m of it and you get to the magic 4m number.

Iheanacho I don’t think happens on those terms, Leicester are just about the last club in the world who will do us any favours.

We need cash in the door realistically though to make things happen. Get final offers in for Gray and take the one with the most cash.

In our position we probably don’t have a choice but to shop Onana around too. Any offer that got us 30m cash up front (plus future instalments and add ons) would get us going in the market with potentially three 10m up front payments. If we’re stuck trying to pay pennies up front for our most important position we need to do anything possible to get more cash in to work with.

too good to be true but fingers crossed these Italians are correct for once.

We really do only need to look at them to break them don’t we?

Tete although not brilliant at Leicester did well in France for Lyon. He's a right winger and left footed would add good balance to the side. Main thing he's free. Get him in.

Sell Gray to whoever offers the most up front, go to Leicester offer them a small upfront for Kelechi they have a massive wage bill they need to sort, then use the rest to ensure that Michael Keane never steps foot on the pitch for us this season.

If we can get Boulaye Dia and offload that french circus midget too, then that would be great.

I dont think we're in a position to make ultimatums for players and any agent worth their salt would say to their client to wait and see what happens in the Summer. We are not an attractive proposition right now and we might have to go late into the window to get the player we want, a player that can improve us not just any CF.

They only bought him 4 weeks ago for 12m Euro, strange that they would want to sell him so soon but I suppose if they can flip him for a decent profit it may be seen as sensible from a financial perspective

Was going to Marseille for £17m. We were offering more for Toure
Its all to do with how the payments are made this has been made clear so many times in the last two years I don't understand how its not sunk in yet for everyone. We can't make payments up front and only a few teams will accept the terms we want to pay on so its not the case that just because we can agree a deal for 25 mil for one player that we can do the same for another one because not many teams will accept that 25 mil being evenly spread over 5 years.

If your a defender/midfielder at Everton, your already preparing for a relegation scrap because they'll know there's simply not enough goals in the side to avoid anything but a scrap. The pre season games are already showing the same glaring obvious issues that still haven't been addressed.

At some point, the pressure of being in such a battle will take its mental toll on the players and the inevitable relegation will happen.

Looking at the way thing have panned out this summer, you'd think that if we had been relegated last season, we probably would have ceased to exist.
