Summer transfer window 2023

Looks properly rubbish. That highlights reel, bar one good header and one nice bit of close control followed by a finish, seemed to just be him falling over, shooting straight at the keeper or having badly scuffed shots and headers turned in by a team-mate.

However, I am judging the lad from a highlights reel. Never even seen one minute of him actually playing a match. Have seen Che Adams loads of time and know he is utter garbage.

Sandro’s highlights reel made him look actually world class. Anyway we won’t be signing this lad.

Target man doesn’t have to be tall, per se. But needs to be someone the ball can be played into and hold it up for others to get involved, back to goal
There are so many problems with that sentence when you apply it to the current Everton side that I don't know where to start

Afternoon mates and welcome to the 28th July Everton transfer show…..

I’ve tried to bundle together as many of the transfer rumours flying around, combining them into one bite size and heart burn inducing portion for your dining pleasure.

I make some apology for some of the sources and articles used.

Everton have tabled a £13.6m bid for Boulaye Dia which has been rejected by Salernitana, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. Writing on their official website (28 July), the Toffees are said to have seen their first bid for the Senegalese forward turned down but talks are continuing.

Swansea City striker Joel Piroe wants a move to the Premier League this summer opening the door for Everton to make their move, according to the Swansea Independent. According to the report (28 July), a move to a Championship club is less attractive for the Dutchman and with the English second-division campaign set to kick off in a week’s time, Swansea want a rapid decision from Everton on whether they want to sign him.

Everton are open to selling Amadou Onana this summer to fund the pursuit of a new striker, and the Toffees may well get their wish with Chelsea struggling to secure their top midfield target, Moises Caicedo. TEAMtalk reported on 19 July that the Toffees are said to have made the decision to sell the Belgium international “reluctantly” with the manager aware that funds are tight at Goodison Park this summer.

Everton are in talks with Corinthians about signing forward Yuri Alberto with the player ready to leave Brazil, according to Dominik Schneider.Writing on his personal Twitter account (28 July), the Football Transfers journalist reports that the club and player are in ongoing talks, although there have been no concrete approaches so far.

Besiktas are in negotiations with Everton over a deal for Demarai Gray, with talks having been ‘going on for some time’. That’s according to journalist Gökmen Özcan, who says the Turkish side ‘want’ the Jamaican international and are pushing to get him.

Gray has been linked with a move away from Everton this summer after struggling to hold down a starting place under Sean Dyche following his arrival at Goodison Park in January.

Everton are set to step up their interest in signing Kelechi Iheanacho from Leicester City, giving Leeds United renewed hope of retaining Willy Gnonto.

According to Ignazio Genuardi, the Toffees are set to prioritise the signing of the Nigerian following the failure to secure any of their alternative targets, such as Gnonto.

Memories of Jo keep popping up I thought he was awfull

Think we have a new winner for the worst highlights reel ever. Dear God 😄😄

Looks slow even in the Brazilian league. But he's not Che Adams, so I'm sold. Sign him up!

….not a speedy type but you do tend to have quality and attitude with these Brazilian strikers. Decent in the air, good technique and powerful enough to occupy defenders.

Just 2 weeks ago we saw what a striker like Che Adams can do, and you'd have to be a complete idiot to think he doesn't perfectly suit Dyche's football. He'd also make Maupay better in the process. Now I don't know fees, £15m is my max, but if you just look at the goals scored column you're a fanny.

03:11 - Great hold up play and through ball
04:13 - Great header to set up goal
06:26 - Great defending, pushes forward, nice ball into space
06:40 - Clever forward play, wins free-kick for winner

Absolutely none of our strikers currently do any of the above and it's vital when you're a crap team. I can find clips of his target man play in all their games.

Started for Brazil in their last game.

Not having the source but he's been linked to us since 2021 so it might be something we're following up on if he's been on a recruitment list since then.

Yeah keeps being linked.

Well this is a bit depressing and typical:

STATS OF YURI ALBERTO

15games, 2 goals, 2 assists, 585' per goal.

This season....Theyre not his overall stats.
