He reminds me too much of Maupay. They both looked really good in the Championship and both looked like they had a bright future in the game and could step up to PL level. Both got their big moves for about 20m to a PL team and both have regressed.

only difference is Adams has pace, mobility and strength. With Maupay i feel like when i was young : the little ones against the big boys lol

There’s never been a bigger gap between what I thought a player was going to be, and what they actually were. If someone had suggested in pre-season that he’d score 20 in the Premier League that season I wouldn’t have laughed at it. I was gobsmacked when I actually saw him play.

He agreed to play for Zenit after the war had started. That puts him in the bin with Greenwood as far as I'm concerned. (Luckily that highlight reel made this particular piece of virtue signalling very easy)

We have to be careful with this if he isn't on the recruitment team's list though. Not saying he's a bad player - looked very good at Lyon - but he's being offered around by his agent. We sign too many players because they are offered around by agents or clubs that our owner or chairman is friendly with.

If he's on our list, fine, it makes sense if he is free, even if he struggled a lot at Leicester.
