Still think we will bring another three in myself mate.

More concerned that we have have likely worked our way down our list.

If we do it'll be on the back of a big sale.

Up until now I've been quietly confident we'd bring a new forward in...in fact I was expectant of that. Now? I think we've seen Dyche clip our wings on those hopes. I dont see what he said as managing expectation, I read it as him marking our cards for the upcoming season of dogfights from game one.

Really only have a week to get a forward in now. If we don't it's a real lottery on deadline day with a high chance we'll end up with nothing.

I don't want to hear the excuses. Before it was said we were sleepwalking to relegation. Now it seems they are putting their foot down heading towards the cliff-edge.

You really have to question just how much people can take and how bent the club are on actively driving people away. They've already ruined much of what I loved and liked about the club, and football in general.

He’s a yes man, I said it in January.

It’s the biggest opportunity that will ever come his way. He’ll never get a chance to work at a club of this size.

They tell him he works with pennies, he’ll happily plod along.

More chance of seeing Santa fight the Easter Bunny than hearing from that fat kopite
Chuckle head board members were sacked but a feller like him who has placed us in two relegation struggles survives.

It's incredible to me that this feller still remains in his post. Still, I suppose there's little hope of that if he's doing the owner's dirty work for him.

We were always in a dog fight day one in my opinion mate - im not expecting anything beyond that.

I'm not wholly surprised to be honest. Im under no illusions and very self aware. People will talk about incompetence but the truth is we have a limited a budget of about 25 mill, so need to structure deals that narrows the field and delays things and secondly we just arent attractive - the club has been portrayed in the media as a basket case and no player is picking a relegation battle if they have a choice - an uncomfortable truth but a truth none the less. Our reputation has taken a hiding.

In that tension its whether you blink or not, do you do a Maupay and get that ilk before Fulham or do you wait and wait for the field to be narrowed in playing options for players later in the window. For me its the latter. If something happens before well and good.

I think we will bring in three, because we have the budget, but also because we have to and i think we are trying to be honest.

We've a month of this left.

if it’s on the back of a big sale then

dyche should bail

Maybe we could pay him off from any transfer fee.

I’m assuming he would get 50k elsewhere?
Sell home for 10-12m or whatever and then the buying club can give him 50k and we pay him out the 20k a week for the rest of his contract?
I’m not sure how long he’s got left but 2 years would be 2.5m or something like that. Leaving is with 8-10m …. They get the player, he doesn’t lose money and we get rid and it’s all FFP profit … win , win , win for everyone

dunno mate lol

How hard is it to secure one decent forward though mate? How hard is it to scout a very decent prospect abroad for the type of fee the club paid last summer for tripe like Maupay? The type of thing other clubs can do without too much bother.

This is just incompetency on a grand level.

….all the Central strikers in all the world & Everton can’t buy one?

I just don’t believe it. Regardless of budget, it’s a big pond out there to fish in. There’ll be plenty of young strikers with genuine promise that would welcome a move to a PL club. Of course it’s difficult to identify one but that’s Thelwell’s job. El Bilal Toure just joined Atalanta for big bucks but was picked up by Almeria last season on the cheap.

I’m not suggesting it’s easy, but it’s what the DOF does, it’s his job.

NO EXCUSES, this is Thelwell’s 3rd window, JUST DO WHAT YOU GET PAID BIG BUCKS TO DO.
