We've a month of this left.

I disagree. We need them in asap.

If it all happens on deadline day then the first game our new signings are likely to feature in is Arsenal at home on 16th September.

They will miss:
Fulham H
Villa A
Wolves H
Sheff Utd A

Even for us there's 7 or 8 points available there if we recruit well. Fulham, Wolves and Sheff Utd will all struggle this season. We need to take points and cannot gift relegation rivals 3 points at the start of the season.

How hard is it to secure one decent forward though mate? How hard is it to scout a very decent prospect abroad for the type of fee the club paid last summer for tripe like Maupay? The type of thing other clubs can do without too much bother.

This is just incompetency on a grand level.

Its actually one of the hardest things to do in football is get a good forward when one is already at the club, ive mentioned it before in terms of Alpha and Beta forwards - usually bar the CL clubs there is usually one alpaha and then a beta second striker - our issue is DCL is our Alpha - but doesn't play. Then the he budget, and our current profile.

Take Toure - Atalanta are selling their Alpha, so he knows going in, hes starting. With us there is ? whether DCL is fit. That situation doesn't help us.

Im not sure the club will een sign a 9, i think they will go with a wide forward who can play at 9 like Richarlision.

So for me we have the DCL road block situation, deals need to be structured and aren't that attractive issues.

We do need to hold our nerve for the right player, we will do business' in my opinion - im expecting three as i said and i think we will do that - if not ill join you.

This 100%

At the start of a football season every fan should be going into it with some optimism, Seems like Bill and his puppets have totally destroyed that.

Getting to the point now we're I CBA anymore.
If this summer goes the way I think it's going he needs to find a fall out shelter and stay there, because if he ever shows his face amongst ordinary Evertonians it will get very complicated for him...and that goes for all the new nodding dogs too.

That doesn't stack up for me. Everyone in the industry knows that DCL wont be playing half a season's worth of football, so there's no off putting in that sense. And in any case, it's not the first time any club has a top striker and seeks to add to their ranks. It happens all the time.

Why would you want to come here to play half a season though.

Disagree to be honest, take Spurs they've been trying to do it for years and wasted millions and ended up just signing wide forwards as opposed to 9's.

No one has the balls to do it Dave, too many of the fanbase are Kool aid drinkers that won’t say boo to a ghost never mind criticise Luvvie and Penfold

"Get down to Goodison Park - wooooooo!".

An anthem for the tomes and idiocy of the club we're stuck with.

That's because they already had two first rate strikers who play a lot of games. We dont.

I do think we are in a difficult position with regards to recruitment.
Not only are we limited financially, we are also a deeply troubled club.
We have survived relegation by the skin of our teeth and despite the passion of our support we are also increasingly angry.
Add all this together and the fact that the manager is hardly likely to attract many players wanting to play for him, and it’s clear we face a uphill task.
