Summer transfer window 2023

13 days for the owner, board, chairman and DOF to actually give the manager a chance.

We are completely unprepared for meaningful football matches and it's totally unacceptable.

There is no excuse for such a pathetic transfer window.
Probably their way of getting one back at the fanbase for the alleged threats to them last season.

The very simple thing I don’t understand is where has the money gone that we’ve already offered to others? For example there’s already been massive players off the wage bill, in Mina and Coady especially, we offered Davies a new deal and we had a deal agreed for Toure.

There’s conservatively at least £30m of fees and well in excess of £250k a week, both of which we were happy to part with already. So where is the proof of it? Doesn’t even take into account the £70m in sales from Gordon and Kean, as well as Moshiri publicly bidding £40m for Conor Gallagher in January.

I’m not someone who thinks deals can be completely done start to finish over a few days but Christ alive, we’re going into August and we’re no closer on filling a gap in the squad that has been in need of addressing for literally at least 2 years minimum. Genuinely get anyone, Weghorst, Wood, Adams, whoever, the fact that we’re literally close to no one is incredibly alarming.

It’s one thing to bring in a crap player but we don’t seem to be looking at anyone. We’ve been almost relegated two seasons on the bounce, have no player that’s scored double digits in that time and we’re going into August having signed a 38 year old left back on a free transfer.

How is this club not genuinely being investigated for gross mismanagement?!
I also don't understand the loan with obligation offers we apparently made in January and last summer, even if one had been accepted we'd have been paying 20-30m this summer given the fees that were mentioned. Where is the money we thought we were going to have?
As I keep saying lads, we have money to spend, not saying we can start bidding for Mbappe, but there is money there, the reason we havent spent any is solely down to our Chairman and DoF sitting on their arse fingering their bum holes.

Not happening. Dyche’s comments the other day pretty much guaranteed it.

I have no doubt we’ll probably bring probably 1-2 more in but they’ll be bargain basement deals in the final days of the window.

With Simms sold cheap, DCL seemingly miles off being able to compete in a competitive game, Cannon likely off the Preston and Dobbin just finding his feet there are only two scenarios that are plausible with 2 weeks to kick off:

1. We have somebody lined up but have to shift people first so it'll be a late-in-the window transaction;
2. We're absolutely brassic and we'll be starting with Maupay for a good while.

Dyche's comments cover both scenarios IMO.

Buckle in Blues.
DCL was training with the team during the week, why do you say he is miles off?

Gomes, Dele and Gbamin all back from loan and needing to be paid for. Lampard and team had to be paid off, the board had to be paid off, Dyche got is win bonus, stadium to fund. We have not got a pot to urinate in. It is loans and frees unless we find clubs willing to backload deals so small initial down payments or we manage to sell more players

It was widely reported we had bid 33m for a player just this week.

There is money there.

Not acceptable and fans need to make it clear

The lack of backing for the manager is not right because it's the manager who will lose their job if results are poor. He is being treated terribly.

Watching highlights of some of the premier league pre season games and we are so so far behind it’s embarrassing
This is the glaringly obvious elephant in the room.

Any reasonably well run club in the PL will leave us behind this season.

We are labouring to 1-0 wins against the likes of Stoke and Wigan, while all of the teams in our immediate future are getting valuable minutes against tough opposition.

We might finish just outside the bottom 3 if we are lucky and that will be down to how Dyche sets us up, making us hard to beat.

Fulham must be a seriously good bet for an away win on the opening day.

Problem it's conditional in a team accepting a tiny initial payment.

Those deals are out there, but it's reliant on our recruitment team finding those players/deals which is another story altogether.
Im not buying these stories, personally.

Bills PR team are working overtime currently.

Again, not saying we can spend what we like, but theres plenty of deals to be done.

The transfer fee thing has been explained a load of times now in that they’re offering small amounts up front and most teams won’t accept it so the money isn’t disappearing they just can’t get most teams to accept what they offer. Wages is probably a similar thing because don’t forget some players have come in some will have automatic increases every year and some have come back from loans and back into the wage bill. I agree about gross mismanagement though without a doubt.
