My problem buying Championship players now is there's no real deal to be had, they've become insanely expensive. It's worse for forwards too because even in that video there he's up against some properly dreadful defending and goalkeeping that you simply don't get in the Premier League, aside from when Keane plays for us.

Only way to get a good deal on a Championship player is like what we did with Garner, buy them off the back of loans from big clubs who don't really want them, despite their quality.

Think it's sensible to trim the centre back position. It's the one position we've had arguably too much depth. But it does make me fearful considering we've lost 2 leaders in mina and coady. Knowing our luck tarkowski the unbreakable man will suddenly get an injury problem. But going down to 4 first team squad and then a fifth u21 is sensible in terms of the structure of how the wage budget is utllilised

Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Keane (considering he'd be deputising for tarkowski, I'd hope game time was limited) Godfrey and welch.

You could lose Godfrey too, if a cheap competent defender that could cover multiple positions became available.

Unfortunately those enquiries will likely be with Saint Etienne.
Can enquire with his loan club all day long. Up to us where he goes. Personally think we need to see what he's about now. Mightve matured as a player a bit. Dyche will surely run the rule over him preseason ?

Saint Etienne have the option to buy for 2m so the most likely outcome is that they will do so then sell him immediately for much more, because Everton.

Realistically I think a full season from McNeil and Doucoure has shown them capable of 10-12 goals a season.

If we can get a forward with the same input, we are pretty much matching last season on them 3 players.

Personally we need to improve on Gray and Iwobi. Onana and Garner need to get 5 goals each too.
I think I'd get shut of Gray but hold onto Iwobi. Iwobi can put in some great performances and covers a lot of ground helping out here and there.

Doucoure and McNeill can maybe get 12 goals between them.

We need two forwards in to get us scoring in enough volume to get us safe.

I'd be close to being furious if we sold any of Onana, Garner or Branthwaite also id include Patterson if not for his injuries.

Those 4 have all the tools to reach the top.
They do indeed. It won't be with Everton unfortunately.

You have to accept that we have to profit on these signings and continue to find more of them. When we get to the stage that we're settled, winning and financially stable then we can hopefully keep whoever the future Onana, Garner, Branthwaites are
