Barkley hasn't been Prem standard for years, let alone his past discrepancies with us. Not forgiving, not forgetting.

I’m if I’m Everton I’m defo making an enquiry here. He arguably played his best football here, he is desperate to leave Chelsea, we were about to spend 30m on an unknown striker, why don’t we approach Chelsea with a loan and obligation to buy next year. Or give them an offer with loads of add on’s. Imagine Danjuma, Lukaku, Sulumana. I get Lukaku could say not a chance but why not at least have a go.

Hi Rom, remember when we were decent and competed for Europe whilst reaching semi finals and you left to go win Serie A and play in a champions league final (amongst other things) because you felt you were better then us?

Fancy a relegation battle lad?

We were clearly in for Bilal and as soon as that fell through we’ve gone hard for this Chermiti who mustn’t been our second choice… why do you think he doesn’t want to sign a CF?

Also if we reckon we can get players back to their best a prime Dele is twice what Barkley was

I like Dele and there may be a manager out there who could coax him back to something like his best. Sincerely doubt that Dyche is that man

Money, wages, and club structures.

Financial implications of getting it wrong means relegation after investment.

Getting right just means 1 successful season then you sell the players and recycle.

As mentioned, the only one close is Brighton but they spent £100mill net on promotion and their highest place was 15th for 4 seasons. It's only these last 2 where a long term play has started to be successful. But investment was made to stay in the league.
 
It’s looking VERY poor at present, with the squad being yet further downgraded from last season, and plans to sell players to our relegation rivals. It’s such a poor squad and they seem determined to make it even weaker.
