Summer transfer window 2023

I would not trust an esk prediction. We'll either be in Europe or the championship then.
I don't see us getting higher than 15th/16th playing 4-5-1 regardless of whether we had an entire new frontline or not. It just doesn't offer enough of a threat to the opposition and it's easy to play against for most teams in the league.

I hope we can get him mate, he’s gonna be a really good player in time. He’s small but he’s a unit for his size, a stocky little thing. But he’s good on the ball, clever feet and he’s got good movement and off of a front man like Dom he will be a nuisance
Exactly the same height as Sterling? Blowing every penny we have on him would be very very bold. Like watching him whiz about for sure. Be great for bums to leave seats now and then for a change, but every £ needs to be aimed at points. No idea if he would deliver anything more than occasional excitement in our lineup. We are obscenely pedestrian though.

If there were never any links at all about him leaving this summer, I don’t think that many would have been gagging to sign him.

Disagree. He would be great support for Calvert lewin/danjuma or chermiti. He is a top talent.
He has good feet but the trouble is he doesn't know what to do with the ball they carry. Head down trying to slalom through challenge after challenge.

I said a while ago about Gnonto: he is not a team player. A team player has their head up and only reverts to jinking in and out of 2/3 defenders as a very last resort...but that's his starting point.

Undoubtedly he has skills, but he has no discipline or judgment and therefore is not a PL standard player.

Spot on.

Based on Dyche's results with last years squad we would have finished 11th, so I think they view mid-table as not only attainable but expected. Regardless of formation I think too many have been condition to believe the team is worse than it is(its not good, mind you) because of Lampard. At no time(in the past 25 years) has Everton played anywhere close to a relegation level except the last few months of Benitez, and throughout the reign of Lampard.

As long as we stay away from the relegation zone for the season I'll take that. I think we'll see lots of goaless draws and games won/lost by a single goal thus season. Not very exciting but probably effective at staying up.

Unless we have decent funds available and some incoming players what else could we hope for than that. However if it means we build a strong foundation for some future when we do have money, then it could even be a good thing.

Time will tell...
