I'm 99% sure you can have up to 6 loans from abroad. The 4 loan rule is for local (English) loans only, can have 4 in any season but only 2 at any given time.
There's no official maximum on loans from clubs abroad although the FIFA rule is 6.
That knob claimed we were 'one step away' from signing Gnonto back in like early July.

So 2 domestically at any one time, to maximum of 4. And as many as you like from abroad, up to 6, fair play mate.
