Lukaku has a bigger ego than Kenwright (if that's actually possible) he has caused problems at just about every club he has been at. Dyche wants a small, tight, hard working group and I imagine the last person he would want in that group would be a known disruptor like Lukaku. We are talking about a player who 2 weeks after arriving here previously was already talking about moving on to his next club!

Let’s get one thing straight right now, yes he’d have absolutely won us the game yesterday but can we stop the fantasy scenarios about Lukaku coming back, he never will and we most definitely couldn’t accommodate the wages he would want
Why don`t you believe we can afford Lukaku? Chelsea don`t want him so a club could have a player like Rom without paying his full wage of £12m per year (£230k p/w).

If you paid half or 75% (£9m) that would represent good business, finishing 12th this season would see us earn in excess of an extra £10m than last season, see the offset?

One thing is for sure, before we go chucking silly money at Gnonto, we need to get a centre forward in who is ready to play every week. Then and only then, can we think about what we do with any money left over. As much as I rate Gnonto, he is a luxury in comparison to us signing a competent experienced centre forward who can immediately be a first choice.

I really can't understand how this problem has not yet been addressed in any constructive fashion.

He didn't say that though.
He did, it's on Boylands twitter: Dyche on Calvert-Lewin absence: "Because he is not at the end of his rehab. Once his rehab is finished then we will be clearer. Then added: "He's at the end of his rehab now." so what is it then, is he fit or isn't he?

Agree. We get that centre forward is the hardest position to recruit for and that we have a limited budget but it should have been the first purchase last summer never mind this, all other positions are less important than a striker it's just maddening. Maupay has never been a lead the line number nine in a direct team, it was a panic signing for a system Lampard intended to play he's the most ill fitting choice for a Dyche team. Even a bog standard target man like Chris Wood improves us at this stage.
