He definitely didn't make any sense because he said we had to wait until the end of the rehab period, which is fine. But then said he had finished the rehab period!

It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to your average fan how 7 days earlier a player can be fit enough to play 45 mins, but 7 days later is not available for say 20 mins as a sub.

But as this is the transfer thread, the issue is clearly recruitment and our bizarre refusal to replace DCL. This is the third year in a row we are taking a gamble, and there is no logical reason why.

Surely theres a conversation to be had here.

I'm not sure if Lukaku has the work rate Dyche would want but theres no doubting hes more capable than our current options.

The only other sticking point would be the wages, but Chelsea would surely have to subsidize that for the remainder of his contract.

Surly Rom would drop his wages. He’s smart enough to know he can earn a load of money but not play. I think by the sounds of it he wants to play.

We were a bit unlucky yesterday but more than anything it was validation for the posters on here who knew we were about to squander the opportunity of taking sufficient points in August. When we play Sheff Utd and our recruitment is complete we will be in the bottom three.

Not a total hack so pretty mid tier. But he’s gone in pretty certain on this when no one else is reporting it so his reputation for Everton stuff is either going up or plummeting down depending on whether he’s totally made it up.

The main concern for me with this one is No info coming out in Italy so nothing leaked for Udinese, nothing in Portugal so nothing coming from the player and nothing from the usual suspects in UK so it's not being leaked from the club so if it's true it is probably coming from an intermediary agent negotiating the deal which is a worry as we tend to get burned by these guys.

Yesterday was a chance to get off to a good start against an under strength Fulham side. Yet again this club has thrown away the chance to start a season well second season running. The lack of urgency and reliance on teams reducing prices at the end of the window is frightening there's no guarantee we can do these deals. I even feel for Chermiti who will get thrown under the bus if we don't bring in a experienced number nine because he's nowhere near ready for anymore than cameos and the odd start in a cup and people will point out his fee.

Same for Danjuma. A couple more misses when he is playing out of position and he will get slaughtered. Our fans are right to he impatient and frustrated but we often take it out on the wrong people

If we had Rom yesterday we win.... We aren`t in a relegation battle with a goalscoring forward and we would already be 3 points better off, FWIW I couldn`t care how `lazy` he is if he bags 12-15 in the league, people need to get over this.
