Sadly the clubs standing in the game is at an all time low.

On top of the last 2 seasons of relegation battles we've had a civil war with the board and the media stories of incidents involving DBB, Gordon & now Maupay.

Sadly the whole club is toxic at present and its easy to see why some players would rather go elswhere when a club like Atalanta, Villa or Spurs come calling.

Signing a guy a month ago who would be out for two months would've been much stupider.

Not just financially, but in terms of how certain you can be about his return date. By the sounds of things this is happening now because he's about to return to light training with the injury having progressed well. It's stupid and more risky to do it any sooner.

It was a loan. If the injury was more serious the loan could have just been cancelled and he would have been sent back to Leeds.
