Summer transfer window 2023

Not open for further replies.

Chelsea sign every Tom Dlck & Harry for hundreds of millions , They've WON The Transfer Window .

Everton signed Richarlison and RUINED The Transfer Window.

Must be great to be a Chelsea fan, wake up every morning and you've signed a new wonder kid from South America for 20 mill, then in the afternoon drop 100 mill on a midfielder or two.

some of our business last summer came out of the blue, sort of pinning my hopes that Kev is working diligently behind the scenes...
No doubt selling clubs delaying for better offers is at least a part of the game.

And settling for alternatives may well have been why we have an expensive Iwobi and unsuitable Maupay.

Gnonto, Iheanacho and a CB loan / free ?

We seem to have less and less players with a potential ceiling beyond mid-table nowadays, so will be disappointed if we let Onana go for the financial black hole.

Loaning players with an option is becoming the new FFP cheat isn't it, Raya yesterday to Arsenal and looks like Tierney now to Newcastle.

Still lets not throw rocks out of our green house.

Morning mates and welcome to the 16th of August Everton transfer 💩 show…..

Everton have not received an offer from Manchester United for Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana, 21, and only a large transfer fee will prise him from Goodison Park. (Liverpool Echo)

It has been revealed that the stipulations of Jack Harrison's contract mean Everton do not have to pay Leeds a loan fee for his services. They triggered the relegation clause in his contract merely by picking up the phone to his agent, and can return him back to Elland Road once the're done with him.

Everton are interested in snapping up Southampton goalkeeper Alex McCarthy with Luton town considering him too expensive.

Beto is a player of interest to Everton at this moment in time, although supporters will have to “wait and see” what happens, according to journalist Paul Brown. As previously reported by Messaggero Veneto (14 August), Beto is a target for Everton with the Toffees facing competition from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in their pursuit of the 25-year-old’s signature.

Stevie Nicol has rejected the suggestion that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign Everton midfielder, Amadou Onana, after losing out on Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea. The Liverpool legend stated that Amadou Onana is someone who is great at ‘winning the ball’, but he has an issue at ‘giving the ball away a lot’, as he told ESPN.

Everton aren’t “walking away from the deal” to sign Willy Gnonto from Leeds United and may need to sell players in order to get it done, according to Paul Brown. The former Daily Star journalist told GIVEMESPORT (15 August) that the move could be completed at the tail end of the window as they have so far only offered “way below” the 19-year-old’s valuation at Elland Road, so sales to bring extra cash in might be necessary as the Toffees and the Italian international both seem intent.

In a recent interview with Give Me Sport, journalist Ben Jacobs mentioned that Everton are in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Hugo Ekitike. Jacobs said, “I think PSG feel like Hugo Ekitke hasn’t worked out.

“And having fought off quite a bit of competition to sign him, with Newcastle in the mix, they are willing to let him go.

“And the Everton links are genuine, initial talks have been held. The structure of that deal is still being discussed, but one possibility is a loan with an option to buy. And PSG are largely looking when they offload to do what’s best for them from the perspective of financial fair play.

Harry Maguire’s proposed move to West Ham looks to be dead in the water and so Everton might perhaps have the chance to revive any interest in the Man United man.

Sunderland look set to miss out on a deal for Everton's in-demand striker Tom Cannon, with the 20-year-old set to join Preston North End on loan this week. The Black Cats were among a host of clubs, including Championship rivals Leeds United, to be credited with interest in the youngster, as Tony Mowbray looks to address his side's goalscoring issues.

However, Alan Nixon reported this weekend that while Preston have been given the green light to complete a loan move for Cannon, Italian side Sampdoria could still make a late £8m bid for a permanent deal.

Anyone remember the issue of Match Magazine in about 1988 with the picture of Ian Rush in an Everton kit on the front?
Headline: Ian Rush signs for Everton! Great quote from his wife inside... 'I love the way the blue kit looks on him!'

I'd LOVE to find a copy of that somewhere. Turned out to be a very effective April Fools joke. Very exciting two minutes while I bought the mag and ran out onto the street to hoover up the amazing news.

Would like to think can get gnonto and the cf done before the last week. So isnt a much pressure at the end of the window. When will be players we can target for cb on loan

Is it possible that we will keep Onana and sign Gnonto and Ekitike? Sounds so unlikely but if you can't dream on a Wednesday when can you?

I think if we dont get our business done soon going into the last week/days we are going to get gazumped by teams who have actual money tp spend like Spurs, possibly Fulham or were going to end up with he likes of Adams, its now starting to annoy, look in several times day and its the same players/same lists being spoken about but nothing seems to be happening .
