FBref is now the in tool for all the spreadsheet stattos who have nothing better to do than sit in their pants watching Jeremy Vine all morning.

No offence but where is this money coming from ? We just took a 40m bridging loan and looking to borrow 100m, seemingly for the stadium. We also spent nada in January.

I hope I'm wrong, but indications so far are that we are scraping around for money from elsewhere to keep going.
Stadium funding is a whole different ball game really. It’s separate from the day to day operations and player trading of the football side.

I don’t know what money there is but we do know the Gordon sale and the Kean sale haven’t been spent. I also don’t know how much was spin, but the explanation for not signing anyone in January was that there was really poor value and Dyche felt there was no point bringing in overpriced players for the sake of if. And the lack of success of most other clubs January signings bears that out.

So maybe it’s simply the case that we trousered the Gordon and Kean money, waited to confirm our league status and now have that to spend in the summer window where the value is better.

Jack Harrison has been shown around FF and should becomes Evertons 1st signing of the summer.

I like him as a player, but he's a left footed winger who prefers to play from the left (and McNeil's progress has meant that shouldn't be a priority), plus he signed a new contract 2 months ago, so I find this one hard to imagine, unless the contract included a pretty low release clause in the event of relegation.

I'm realistic mate. How do we attract him ? Oooooooo a shiny new ground but clowns at the helm, boring football, etc etc

History gets you so far but we're nearly 30 years without a trophy. He goes to a big 6 club. Or does the sensible thing and grows under a dynamic manager at a club on the rise and in Europe.

Literally zero chance we get him. Prove to me otherwise. #bahhumbug
Sheesh.. as I said I’d not realised he was the next Maradona as (bizarrely) I’d not watched a single episode of MotD for months! If it’s a finance thing and you tell me we are priced out - fair enough, I agree with you but if you think he goes to a top 6 club (and plays) I’d politely disagree with you. Are Everton the biggest club he can go to and play a large percentage of games - yes, no question.

Which top 6 club do you see him going to and starting games week in week out? Assuming he leaves his current top 6 club that is😆

And btw.. Brightons bubble will burst by ripping that midfield apart.. I remember a proper boring club being run by clowns beating them 5-1 at their place last year..

Genuinely not wanting to go back and forth.. I think he’s a prospect you think he’s more.. cool, it’s what opinions are all about👍

Mykolenko wouldn't be the worst option, but he's not great. Godfrey has played his only decent games in that position, so if we're that cash strapped we have to go with them we'll have to do that.

Ideally we could get someone like Hickey at Brentford in who can play both FB roles - left and right.

…I thought Henry was LB at Brentford, been very impressed with him.
