He is brilliant. I was banging the drum for him when Forest were in the Championship. Let's be real though, not a chance of this. Forest wouldn't sell, I'd bet he wouldn't want the move and it would take a ridiculous fee that would be better spent elsewhere.

Boat's been well and truly missed on this one I'm afraid.

I think you are right, but what is Forest's FFP situation like? There are only a few clubs that are in a position to turn down big bids for their players, and I don't think Forest are one of them.

If true and we did sign Brennan Johnson we would finally have a top notch rapid right winger to follow Kanchelskis.

He netted 11 goals and 5 assists for Lincoln.

Then 18 goals and 10 assists for Forest.

Last season 8 goals and 3 assists.

He was one of the key factors in them finishing 2pts ahead of us. Put him into a better team (which we would be with him and a CF joining) and the stats will increase.

It will be disappointing if the rumour isnt true now lol thats how good i think he is and can be lol

Stick to your day job Zat

£40m won’t be spend on a striker alone nevermind a winger.

You're probably right, but Brennan Johnson can play both of those positions, and we did spend over 30 million on a central midfielder last summer.

Having already sold Gordon, we should have significantly more money available this summer if that was followed by a further sale, like selling Onana or Pickford.

I think the sticky point is first we won’t spend that amount without selling a major player which I am totally against selling our best player in England#1 when he saved us from relegation 2 seasons in a row. Leicester was a prime example without an adequate replacement for their major player.

Secondly, if we are to sign a striker to lead the line Johnson should not be the type of forward we should be going for. It’s a waste of time to hoof the ball up top to him hoping he can head the ball like a target man or bring the ball down, protecting it.

Now I know why they call you happy! 😆 soz mate not been in here much with the pain of last season still sore.. never realised that Ferguson was the new Owen, Rooney etc etc. Hope he lives up to the hype👍
I'm realistic mate. How do we attract him ? Oooooooo a shiny new ground but clowns at the helm, boring football, etc etc

History gets you so far but we're nearly 30 years without a trophy. He goes to a big 6 club. Or does the sensible thing and grows under a dynamic manager at a club on the rise and in Europe.

Literally zero chance we get him. Prove to me otherwise. #bahhumbug

True enough, but they'll only be one year in to a 3 year P&S cycle. So they'll have time to sort it out.

You are right though, £40m for an academy product is pure profit for them and they won't have many they'll make good cash from. Their best player other than him is Gibbs-White and because they overpaid, as good as he is, they will struggle to make much profit.

From our perspective, Samuel Chukwueze should be the one we go after if (big if) we had the money (amortised, obviously) to go after an expensive(ish) winger. Think £25m would get him and probably less upfront too. Whether or not better clubs will blow is out the water is another matter.

Chukwueze would also be ideal, really went up a gear last season.
