Think he’s nailed on as Rice replacement.

Nobody is going to pay what West Ham want for Rice when he can walk on a free next season.

I said this a couple of weeks ago in the PL you have Alpha and Beta strikers. An Alpha costs big money and generally wont go to a club where there is an existing Alpha, unless they also play as is a wide forward. Thus you are either signing a Beta - below the level of an alpha - like Weghorst - though he prob wouldnt be happy with that. Or you are dropping big money on an Alpha with reassurances that DCL is now the Beta- i dont think we will be signing a new Alpha. Only the top CL clubs can hold two or three alphas - because they know they will play games across multiple competitions and have prestige with trophies.

We are signing a Beta in my opinion, so welcome Wout.

We tried to sign a Beto in January. He will do!

Oh i think he will go but I don't think it will be for what West Ham want, they are going to need to drop the asking price.

We absolutely have to take DCL out of the equation altogether. The club needs to forget he exists.

I heard last week that Maupay was around 48th on a list of players put together by our Data / Analytics team at the club....and everyone ignored them and the list.
