Last January we lost players who literally opted saints and Bournemouth over us! How the mighty have fallen

I'm sort of hoping that was a mix of incompetence in negotiation, lack of coherent vision and maybe personal reasons for the players involved. Selling Everton to players at a decent level shouldn't be as hard as our board/management make it

The new Saudi drive to sign free transfers like Zaha and Traore alongside old legends like Benzema, Ronaldo & Kante is not good news for us, considering we don’t have a pot to pish in.

Whereas high profile out of contract players like Bernard may have chosen Everton in the past, Saudi clubs are offering insane wages to Bosman players this summer. I would not be surprised to see the likes of Dembele and Bamba take the money.

Feels a bit like an example of how English players are massively over-inflated, as quite how a world cup winning midfielder can be worth fractions of Rice is beyond me. I reckon had he continued playing for Ireland, he'd be valued more realistically.

On a short cheap deal I wouldn't be against it. Very raw despite his age with barely any experience in european football. I think for sure though that he would be a better option than maupay...had decent stats everywhere he has been.
