Can you imagine the media reaction to some of Allison’s errors if he played for Everton? He teed up two City goals from his own goalkicks in a 4-1 home drubbing by their rivals. Imagine Pickford did this v Liverpool for Everton, he’d never recover from the media onslaught. He cost his team the lead in the CL knockout tie with yet another kicking error. He’d be getting absolutely destroyed for that at Everton. He’s weak on the shot across goal as he doesn’t get down quick enough.

He’s a very good keeper who is excellent one v one and good under the highball but some football fans seriously overrate him. He just makes too many errors. You’d never see the likes of Schmeichal Cech Van Der Sat Buffon Southall etc. make those sort of errors so regularly. They might have one or two in their career, Allison makes two or three per season, sometimes per game!

If he really is the best in the world then Real Madrid Barcelona PSG would be breaking the bank to get him this summer. I can’t see any of them doing that.

You are only ever going to get about £40-50m for him at the absolute max. Due to the fact he has had to play behind a woeful defence and midfield for so long he just doesn't quite have the numbers some of the other big name keepers do. I also think we could find a better GK coach than Alan Kelly, that's a job for the boys appointment who seems to have stayed through a variety of setups meaning a number of managers were unable to get their own choice in.

I’m not sure the number 10 position was his best one, he may have even better in a three, and there were times he needed dropping and disciplining. He didn’t help himself but he didn’t have the right manager either.

We’ll have to disagree SD....I think Martinez was perfect for an expressive, attacking player like Barkley, and i’d Wager that Barkley would say that too.

Read something the other day that Dyche was looking to bring his own GK coach in.

That aside, with certain clubs and players stats go out the window to a degree.
Utd are rich and Pickford is Englands No1, anything less than £50m and Red Kev has some answering to do.
