"if we need a Striker, we'll sign a striker!"How about Moshiri?
Judge as at the end of the transfer window (where we signed nobody).

And played well in keeping us up with no forward signed.McNeil, Tarkowski and Pickford all signed from relegated clubs.
just hope he doesn't leave us this waySaw that Crysensio Summerville link last night from Mike McGrath and John Percy.
I'd take that link more seriously than Jac Talbot's about Harrison and Gnonto.
What do you all make of Summerville?
Plus klaasen + vlasicAnd played well in keeping us up with no forward signed.
I do agree with the general sentiment though of being wary about 'bargain players'... Makes you realise how good Matt Le Tissier actually was in keeping Saints up singlehandedly all those years. I do think we missed out sorely on Maddison from Norwich all those years ago when we instead signed Rooney, Sandro and Absurdsson (the first window for me where I truly felt the rot was creeping in).
Bournemouth have sacked their manager and appointed a new one without going on a 3 week search as well.
Uuurgh, god I'd forgotten about them as well.Plus klaasen + vlasic

Yep. Just saying. I think their action was equally as odd as it was decisive. I think they will really struggleThey were last season too and were safe with 5 games to go.
Sensible optimism...who knew?Uuurgh, god I'd forgotten about them as well.
What a summer... Stomach churning wastefulness, ego, incoherency and failure, the blueprint of the following seasons of struggle.
BUT - Weirdly it's what gives me hope about where we're going now... Moshiri (and by extension BK) have a single redeeming feature which is the stadium - IF IT GETS DONE WITHOUT US BEING FOOKED FINANCIALLY FOREVER!
'Assuming' for a moment that's feasible before they disappearing forever, what are we left with?
Staying up with these credentials and future revenue streams of Bramley Dock will improve and secure EFC in the mid to long term. We just have to add a forward and back and trust Dyche to get us there.
- Arguably a slightly weaker squad (no Richy, Lukaku or the likes of peak Coleman, Baines etc)
- BUT, a fitter squad with better workrate than anything I've seen since Moyes.
- Manager and fan base in tune with where we really are, and what our true aims are in terms of success these next two seasons (some youth, staying up, energy in our performances)
- Needing to be financially more astute moving ahead having shackled ourselves in FFP, but also if we bring in one of these US partners (they rarely lose out on the bottom line)

The bloke is an idiot."if we need a Striker, we'll sign a striker!"

ScandalousChelsea selling all their tat to Saudi to get round FFP, stinks. Maybe the PL should look into that?!
OK I think 3 of those were done/agreed before the end of the season. My point is that with the jeopardy of relegation and our unstable finances targets being identified early probably wasn't as simple for us as it was those 4 teams. But generally speaking, just to be clear and avoid a pile on, not much business has been done so far, in my opinion. Let's focus on our rivals and so far Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd have all been relatively benign in the marketI mean, Brighton have signed 3
Liverpool Mcallister
Villa signed Tielemans
Chelsea Nkunku
Palace Lerma
They are just off the top of my head
