Just seen an article saying Branthwaite wants to leave and go to West Ham. Woeful source and hoping it’s all made up as I’d like to think he’ll play regularly here next season.

Harry Tyrer gone to Chesterfield (national league) on loan.

Seems a poor move...surely he should be im the league somewhere this season.
….bit surprised at that, Zat. Actually wondered if he might be used given the promising reports from Chester last season.
Just shows the level he’s at Chesterfield is a step up from Chester and will probably be pushing for promotion again this year. To suggest he would be used after a season at Chester is quite a jump no matter how good reports of him was.

The same Lookman who, even the fabled Lepzig couldn`t get a tune out of and then bounced around the Prem on loan or a few seasons, until he seemed to find his feet ?

Getting rid of him was 100% the right thing to do at the time, same with Vlasic, who hasn`t exactly gone on to set the world alight.
Leipzig signed Nkunku the same year for the same position, understandable that he wasn't able to nail down a starting spot there imo.

A keeper (or anyone at a premier league side) doing well in effectively non-league probably doesnt count for much.

Looks to me like theyre giving him another year of games there in the hope a league side signs him for a few pennies.

Pickford started his loans in the non-league :)

Remind me, how did his numbers in the PL compare to those in Italy?
Id rather get ball cancer than bring back that petulant child. The exact type of player we need to avoid.

Maybe he’s grown as a man and as a player since we had him?

lots of chatter on Gnoto and of all the Leeds links he is the most interesting. They bought him for ~5m, so he could reasonably have a relegation release <15m. Capable of playing across the front but best on the left or behind the striker. The kind of player who could more than double in value vs the release clause in 1-2 years.

Add him and Faivre to McNeil and we look much better from that standpoint for less than 30m in spend.

Just need the Saudis to give us something stupid for Gray. Who knows, maybe they will pony up 20m. Honestly, Gray might tear it up down there.
