Like people on here have said, they might be fed their info from the club but they are definitely bracing us to not spend. My guess (and it is interpretation of what we are being fed) from what they've said is that I would be surprised if we spend over £20m in total without a huge sale.

Exactly it and why the shouts about Thelwell are unfair. Guy is turning a profit in the market but rather than get a chance to invest it he's getting it taken straight off him to fund the stadium. 65 million in sales since we last bought a player and he seemingly still has to sell Simms and Gray to bring in anyone at all. The club is being bled dry.

In which case Moshiri should have dropped the asking price and be looking to move on. Football clubs require money to operate and if the owner and those in charge can't supply those resources then they need to pass it on to someone who can. We had all this crap for years under Kenwright and I don't expect to see it under Moshiri.

Personally think we're just waiting the PL financial year to end so it looks better on the books. I dont think we'll spend crazy money but think it'll be similar to last seasons spending. Unless we sell someone for crazy money.

No, the money isn't going into Moshiri's pocket, he's not asset stripping, but what I'm saying is the failure to fund the stadium either from his own pocket (as he said he could) or find external financing for it quickly enough means that we are now selling off what few playing assets we have to fund it, and as a result the playing squad is being bled dry. Hopefully MSP can help resolve it all but 130m won't even touch the sides of what we need to fund the stadium let alone have a functioning playing squad.

Hope you're right mate. I'm just commenting on what's being fed to us. It is clear that we aren't going to be spending much at all.
Don't forget, Spurs spent nothing for years whilst building the stadium, no reason to think we won't be the same. Difference is, they had a good enough side to ride it out and we were bang in trouble already due to years of poor recruitment and mismanagement.
