He came in when we were 2nd from bottom. Thelwell didn't provide him with any players and we sold Gordon. Not exactly great tools to play with when we had shown all season that these players are not very good.

Dyche had to work hard to get something out of this shabby lot of players and without key players for most of his tenure a record of P18 W5 D6 L7 is not bad considering. Every team we played under Dyche was above us in the league and he kept us up when it looked unlikely.

You have to forget his Burnley days as that was a constant battle for him due to lack of funds and he did a decent job there with hands tied behind his back.
What we learned from his time at Burnley is that Dyche can make the best of a bad lot. If Dyche ever gets decent funds here he may get us established again over a couple of seasons and I think that will be his remit....it has to be.

Depending on budget I think Dyche will have to shop in Lidl and that is not Dyches fault. He came to a calamity of a Club and did well to keep us up.
Deserves to be kept on no doubt.
For me, Dyches time at Burnley was equivalent to Moyes with us, only on significantly less funds.
Moyes is hailed as ‘the Moysiah’ by some yet Dyche is cited as beneath us 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah I agree with Onana/Garner, Doucoure is the strange one for me.. no doubt he was massive in helping us avoiding relegation but for us to move forward I don't think we can have a midfielder who does all his best work off the ball.
I think we need someone who will get Doucoure's goals but can also put his foot on the ball & hopefully create things aswell
We aren't getting that player with our 50p budget are we 👍

Don’t worry too much! He had a good half season under Dyche but his goal record for us is 9 in 84… that should be quite replaceable!

I think we all would like to have a classier attacking midfielder but I think there are more pressing priorities in the line up and we’ll probably have Doucoure play there for at least another season
He has barely been played in his natural attacking position by all the joker managers we've had so I would expect his output o increase significantly if played in the right position for a full season.

Agree in that I don't think he will go there but I get the impression he isn't fussed about staying here either. The last 10 days or so are seeing more and more stories about him 'open to a move'
I absolutely love him, I am convinced he will be a star and would be gutted if he left at this stage however, he is contracted for 2 more years and, unless its a whopping bid, hopefully is going no where.
