Letting Simms go when we have an obvious forward crisis means that something has been lined up

Surely
not my first choice but I reckon Rodrigo will be first in. I would like Dia not young but not too old and a Toure type signing plus plug three holes in the rest of the side

You know better then that bro, its everton.

I fully expect us to sell simms, gray and Maupay. Dcl to get injured at the start of the season and we have to play mcneil as the striker because we won't get a striker in till 31st of August and it to be a Maupay clone. Who'll start two games then get dropped for mcneil because he's tommy tank.

But I'm a optimist

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, and we did have the worry about what league we would be playing in, the work for this starts in January and even Dyche said when he came the work for the summer had already started.

This isn't unheard of and you always see multiple clubs getting their deals in place and order ready for preseason.

We are awful at transfers, this isn't down to us negotiating, we probably haven't even started considering targets - there's a reason our deals are always backloaded mate, its nothing down to negotiation.

We need to stop being last to the table and left with the scraps.
Maupay is prime example of this.

You can bet that Everton have calculated that probably 2 of the 3 promoted teams will go right back down again and that the likes of Wolves, Forest and B'mouth will struggle.

They'll fancy their chances selling a lot of players again this summer to claw back cash and target only a forward and LB and CB cover.

That's the way I'd read it.

And you’re always wrong

Well then they'd be dumb since last season all 3 stayed up.

Sheffield United and Luton are terrible. I can understand the expectation they'll go straight back down. And for my money Bournemouth and Wolves will struggle badly.

I can see their calculations, but it's a dangerous game to play...and that's where we are with this regime.

Am not so much impatient, as I have lived long enough to understand how we do transfers.

I am just airing my frustration that after another absolutely awful season, we seem to be pinning our hopes again on DCL being fit. Good strikers go early, not late... and its not a huge market for a decent striker at the moment.

If we get to the first game of the season with DCL/Maupay/Young Cannon as our only options I will be extremely concerned.
the annoying thing is we are waiting on clubs dropping their asking price and/or players making their minds up. as we dont have the cash to splash around it can take forever. Also you dont want to move down the list of targets too soon. But as we need more strikers, the first deal we can strike for a striker that Dyche wants we should do it: example Piroe. Certainly in the next 2 weeks !!!

We’re signing mbappe, watch this space
Mbappe? Name rings a bell. Is that the fella who we're heavily linked with who's now a free agent, the fella with luscious, blonde hair and gets about on a skateboard? Sure I read we were linked with him as well.
